Ito Plantation is located immediately after turning left off of national highway 9 just before the intersection at roadside station Kirara-taki when coming from Izumo.
The operator, Mr. Ito, used to work in Osaka, but he returned to Taki in order to start up Ito Plantation and show people the wonders of his hometown.
Taki township is an area which produces lots of figs. Nearby can be found Ichijiku Onsen ("fig hot springs"), and the roadside stations are busy every day with people buying the many fig-based souvenirs and products. Further on, this luxurious location also boasts a popular coast for swimming and a majestic panorama view of the Japan Sea.
After picking figs at a fig plantation and going for a dip in the ocean, why not spend some relaxing time at the nearby onsen?
Both a one-day fig farming experience and a weekend farming experience for office workers are available. Of course, anyone is welcome.
Fig processing and sales are also done on site.

Experience content	Each and every fig tree grown within the extenseive premises of Ito Plantation is cultivated with love and care. This fig-picking experience allows you to try your hand at picking these deliciously ripe figs. You can eat the figs you pick right where you stand or bring them home as a souvenir. (A separate fee is charged for the figs you take home.) Figs are very delicate, and even the number of fruits on a tree are calculated and the soil improved so that the tree does not get sick and can produce fruit. The height of the trees is adjusted so that the sun can reach them all, and sunblock powder is applied so that they don't burn. Much time and effort are put into growing these precious figs, which are considered to be very sweet delicacies. You can also learn about how figs are grown and how fertilizer is made.

Experience content	This restorative experience plan includes a fun swim in the sea, soaking in hot springs, and fully enjoying rural cuisine. Right next to Ito Plantation, the sea spreads out from Taki's wide beaches. During the summer, the beach is busy with people who come to swim in the sea. The sea is very beautiful, and if you are lucky you may be able to see a school of dolphins. Next to the beach sits roadside station Kirara-taki, a station which has recently garnered attention as a good place for dolphin-watching. It also sells a wide variety of local products and is a popular rest stop and tourist spot. After playing in the sea, warm yourself with a soak at Ichijiku Onsen and enjoy delicious countryside cuisine at Ito Plantation's table. If you would like a meal without lodging, please inquire.

Experience content	For those who want to try farming but never have the opportunity, or for those who work on weekdays and want to try farming on the weekend, this experience is for you. While mixing in some funny fig farmer stories, Mr. Ito, the operator, will impart to you farming know-how starting with how to prepare the soil. Escape the daily work life and experience a different kind of work. Enjoy a change of pace by getting your hands dirty and moving your body. Anyone is welcome, from those who want to try getting into agriculture to those who want to relieve their day-to-day stress.
