| Experience content | The name "Yuki no Sato, Bishoen" reflects the program affiliates' wish of "expressing gratitude for the organic vegetables born from carefully-managed soil and the relationships formed with people encountered here." Soil that has been mixed with fertilizers made with due consideration for the ecosystem is soft and even has a sweet aroma. The vegetables in the fields here are cultivated based on the principle that the quality of crops stems from the quality of the soil, and their freshness and sweet flavors have earned them a stellar reputation among locals. Here, you can experience hands-on agricultural work at a "Yuki (organic) farm." In addition, you will be taught how to harvest bamboo shoots, pick wild vegetables, and how to cook these ingredients. You will also learn a method that you can use to make konnyaku easily at home. After having fun harvesting seasonal vegetables, you will be able to cook them and enjoy them a second time in the form of delicious dishes. |
