Enjoy life by the sea in a small port town
Kotogahama has been selected as one of "Japan's top 100 beaches." At the port town nearby, you can find Maji, a gallery featuring tiled roofs. This 100-year-old traditional residence is where the program affiliate Takeda, who had moved here from Osaka, serves okonomiyaki for lunch only (reservations required).
Staying at this residence overlooking the garden allows you to experience a rural way of life while being rejuvenated by nature based on the concept of "health tourism." At Kotogahama which offers a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan, you can fully indulge in life by the sea by experiencing the phenomenon of "singing sand," listening to the sound of waves, and enjoying the beautiful sunset.
